There is no pressure to use it wisely. It's separate from clothing but can be used for clothing if you want. You should have a different amount per month set aside for clothing. I have a $40/week allowance, and it keeps accumulating week after week, which is nice. I also have $60/month for clothing that only accumulates a tiny bit, but it's also nice. I'm considering doing that. Anyways on the spending front. One thing I do is NOT buy books. The library is so easy to use and so much cheaper! Besides, I have no where to store them all and I wouldn't want to just give them away. Not to mention they are so expensive and I read at least 10-12 a month, at $20 at least for one hardback, that would just blow my budget!
