The one thing I love doing is traveling. It’s great to see new places and meet new people. I like staying in inns such as the Vermont bed and breakfast selection. Places like that make it so homey.

I’ve heard from many friends and even from online message boards that a lot of older bed and breakfasts are supposedly haunted. I’d love to see that!! Of course I’d be freaked out and would want to leave, but experiencing things of the paranormal just gives me a thrill.

They will never tell you but Antrim 1844 in a country inn in Maryland is seriously haunted.
People have seen lights, felt weird chills and heard creepy sound. you can visit the Antrim web sit at antrim1844.com but there is no mention of the hauntings.

I just came back from the Antrim 1844 Inn. I took a picture of the Ice House, a little cottage on the property where my wife and I were staying. After the picture was taken, we were told that the Ice House was one of the places where strange things happened. While waiting for our plane at the airport, I reviewed our digital picture we had taken on our trip. The picture of the Ice House had a strange glowing blob in front of one of the bushes that surrounded the cottage. Extremely freaky. We will not be going back.

hey whoever says there not going back it’s cool. Ive stayed there and had two expierences. One was i was in The AP Hill room and i was watching TV and the doorknob started shaking. I grabbed the knob and swung the door open and no one was there. I got freaked out. Another time i looked up to the top floor and thought i saw a little girl and there were only 3 people in the mansion at the time. But there is nothing to be afriad of i now realize. I think whatever is there is harmless. It has great servise and i think you should go back. I mean no one has been hurt. Maybe freaked out but not hurt.

I, too, have heard stories about ghosts at Antrim 1844. I live 15 min. from it and did stay the night there once. Had no unusual experiences there, however, and had nothing odd show up in any of the pictures (and many pics were taken there, trust me). One of the staff there told me about some ghosts in the kitchen and I heard a secondhand story of someone who heard unexplained voices there prior to the restoration of it. I have never heard any stories of any seemingly sinister presences there, however. Can’t imagine why an unexplained blob in a picture would keep you from staying there again, William, if you otherwise had an enjoyable time there. I’d stay again in a heartbeat. Your blob could have just been something like dust or a bug that got caught out of focus by your flash when you took the picture. To each his own I suppose.

Not sure a haunted B&B is a good idea, the owners are probably safest to keep quiet!

  7. I own a bed and breakfast in South West Scotland and often wonder if saying your B&B is haunted is a good thing. I have never felt anything “strange” here and it was built in 1862. Although one guest did inform it was haunted – then on leaving said he has ghosts at home too….hmmmmm

Paranormal Activity 2 has just been released! Try watching that alone in a dark house if you’re after a ‘thrill’!
