Week of July 26: Work Stuff

What is your work ethic hours-wise? Do you think you should be able to put in your 40 hours and go home, or is working 60 hours a week okay to you? Why/why not?
Well, currently I work from home and make enough that I don’t need to go find a fulltime job. However, when I did have a fulltime job, I work around 50 hours a week. It really wasn’t want I wanted, which is why working that much is not okay with me. I think working 8 hrs a day for 5 days is a good enough work schedule. We all have personal lives to attend to too.

Do you believe that work is life or vice versa? Why/why not?
I don’t necessarily…it’s more like work is part of our life but it isn’t our life. We all need to work because of the obvious, to make money and support ourselves/family. But life definitely comes first.

Do you plan to stay in your current line of work forever? Why/why not?
Nope. I was told people change careers an average of 7 times during their lifetime. I have already done so twice, plus have one diploma for an ECE career. I’m also working on completing two more diplomas – office administration and photography. So, I’ll be changing careers throughout my lifetime.
