September 18th, 2007Moving to Miami…

A cousin of mine travels down to Miami so many times a year that it’s impossible to keep track of it. I told her to move down there since she’s spending so much money going back and forth from Miami to Canada. She has her husband’s family living there, so I’m sure she’ll settle in just fine.

I received a call from her last week, where she said that she’s looking into Miami real estate so she can find an affordable home near her in-laws house. I think it’ll save her a bundle to just move there instead of doing all that traveling. Plus, she won’t need to hire a babysitter or put money aside for a daycare since her mother-in-law can easily watch the children.

I hope she moves there if it’ll better herself. Of course I’ll miss having the convenience of seeing her, but everything will work out just fine.

save our homes

I have yet to travel down to the States for a vacation. The only time I ever go is to go shopping in Boston. Hopefully that will change sometime soon as I want to visit Florida at least once in my life.

Of course I’ll get an Orlando vacation home so I can site see in the area. Plus, isn’t that where Disney World is? I have never been to Disney World and would love to take my little cousins there. Who knows, I might even take my nephew when he’s a bit older.

September 12th, 2007Okinawa Images

Ever since I was a child, I have always had an interest in Japan. I even have a goal of visiting there for at least a month before I turn 30 years old. The beauty of the land in all of the cities, shows you how serene the country really is. You can see how wonderful the cities are through websites that display images. One such site called John in Japan shows Okinawa images that are a must see for anyone interested in Japan.

These images are truly outstanding. They show you just how great the culture is. Not only does John in Japan have images to share, but you can also find news updates and travel information for Okinawa and Japan. If you register as a member, you will also be able to post blogs, main a personal profile, and even upload your own photos to the gallery.

John in Japan is definitely a website you should check out if you have an interest in the Japanese culture. It accurately displays the lives of many Japanese people and the great festivals they celebrate. Check it out today.

August 31st, 2007Expensive cell phone bill!!

Arghh….I haven’t blogged about this because I didn’t have the internet for awhile now, but man…I got my cell phone bill for usage in July (when I went on vacation to the Dominican Republic)…and well, I used my cell there to call home, text messages, etc. My bill ended up being $306.43!!! That’s probably the most expensive cell phone bill I have ever had!!

I didn’t realize it was $4/minute until after I got my bill. Yikes…I won’t be calling from there anymore. $100 of the bill was from my sister’s usage when she called her boyfriend from there, which she paid me anyways. But damn…never again…though I think I said that the last time I went and took my cell. lol

August 30th, 2007Planning your next vacation?

The summer is almost over, but that shouldn’t stop you from planning your next summer vacation. Have you considered taking your family to the beautiful country of Jamaica?

Of course, planning your trip ahead of time is beneficial, especially if you want to check out different things such as attractions or local foods.

My sister’s boyfriend is from Jamaica and he talks highly of it. He even convinced my father to go next summer with him to his hometown of May Pen. He also says that the people there are really easy going and friendly.

Hopefully I’ll get a chance to go with them next summer. I’m looking forward to see another beautiful culture and checking out their local foods and entertainment.

I love traveling to exotic places filled with resorts, beautiful beaches, and friendly people. One of these places I wish to someday visit is Bermuda.

The tropical island of Bermuda is located just outside the Caribbean. I’ve been down to the Caribbean, so seeing as Bermuda is so close, I’d imagine that a vacation there would be truly astounding.

If you are like me and haven’t visited, then you might want to check out some attractions. There is so much to do and see, especially their exotic pink powdery sand. I’ve seen brown and I’ve seen white sand, but never pink powdery! That itself just wants me to check it out since I love hanging out on the beach.

Of course when you visit any new place, you have to taste their local food. I personally love to taste local foods as you can get a real feel of what the people who live there eat. You can also have a casual dining experience at a local restaurant. Who knows what yummy foods they have to offer!

I definitely have Bermuda on my list of places to visit in this lifetime. It’s just so beautiful!

If you are looking to travel somewhere this summer, try going to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
