December 31st, 2007Happy New Year!

Well, it’s New Years Eve and I’m sure many of you are preparing for your gatherings and whatnot. I on the other hand am celebrating at home with family, which is always nice. So from my family to yours,

Happy New Year!

Some of my new year resolutions include:

  • get a full time job
  • move out into my own place
  • try to better my health
  • embrace God in my life

Other things I want to accomplish include:

  • write more poetry
  • make my own rosary
  • spend less money on Ebay
  • further develop my photography portfolio

December 25th, 2007Merry Christmas!

December 22nd, 2007Done Christmas shopping!

I am officially finished Christmas shopping. Yippy!! All the gifts are wrapped and under the tree. I’ll take a photo in the daytime because it’s late now. The only thing I’m waiting for is for two packages to come in the mail. One is something for my father and the other is something for my sister.

It’s taking way too long for these things to deliver. The last day is on Monday. If they don’t come by then I’m gonna freak out because we open gifts that night. *sigh….I really hope they come*

The holiday season is upon us so start going out and getting all those gifts ready.

If you have a girlfriend or wife, I suggest you get some bling bling for them.

You can find gorgeous ones from DiamondsOfTheDay.com. They have a bunch of Diamonds, Loose diamonds, Wholesale Loose Diamonds, and others to choose from. Spend a little of your time there because I’m sure you’ll find that perfect gift for the special woman in your life.

Remember, diamonds are a girl’s best friend. LOL!

November 16th, 2007A wedding next year

Over the summer, my sister and her boyfriend went shopping to different jewelry stores at least once a week. It was really crazy. I knew they were in love and planning on getting engaged, but shopping so many times a month looking at a variety of diamond rings is a bit much. Don’t you think?

I guess it all paid off because they got engaged in the middle of October. The wedding planning is pretty intense though. It seems they are doing so much everyday to make it all happen next August.

I hope it all works about because I want it to be really nice and work out as planned. I’m actually looking forward to it even though I hate attending weddings. I guess I have no choice for this one because there’s no way I’d let my sister down.

November 12th, 2007Here is the greatest news!

As I mentioned in my previous post, I am now an aunt!!

Here is how the day went:

I was on the computer Sunday evening. It was around 12:45am I went to the bathroom. I heard someone in the bathroom on the top floor. I got out of the bathroom and poof my sister appeared right at my bathroom door. I said, “Holy, you scared me!” She’s like, “Man, I don’t feel good and I can’t sleep at all!”

She then goes on telling me about these pains she’s feeling. She’s pacing back and forth downstairs because she just couldn’t sit because it was hurting her too much. I finally convinced her to go wake up our mother because she would know what to do. We woke her up and she’s confirmed that my sister may go into labour soon. My sister and mom went back downstairs and she kept pacing. I said we need to keep track of the contractions. So I went upstairs to let my older sister know what was going on. She too came downstairs.

We stayed downstairs for about another hour and a half thinking about what to do, if we were going to go to the hospital, and what if it’s just false labour she’s having. Anyways, we finally made a decision and all four of us drove to the hospital. Thankfully we caught all green lights!! Gotta love driving past 2am because there’s no one out there. lmao.

We dropped off my pregnant sister and my older one who was going to stay with her. I had to head home with my mom because I had two tests which where back to back in the morning and I didn’t have any sleep yet. It was 3-something am by now.

We finally got home and parked the car in the driveway. I just stood out of the car when I received a text message on my cell phone. It was from my older sister Lisa who said, “Tanya’s water just broke!!” I told my mom and she’s like omg the baby is going to come soon. We then went inside the house to let my dad know what was going on. I went downstairs because I had to sleep and was tired as heck. About 10 minutes later I get a call from my older sister Lisa and she’s like, “Tanya just had the baby!!” It was now 3:33am.

It was crazy and it all happened so fast! My sister’s water broke right in front of the registration desk and she was yelling at the lady that she could feel a head coming out of her vagina. The nurse took her to a room to check her out and yes indeed, she could see the hair from the top of the baby’s head already. There was no time to call the doctor as the baby was coming out NOW! So a bunch of nurses delivered her baby. It was a whole few minutes and my sister said she didn’t feel any pain. The baby just slipped right out!! And no…she didn’t have an epidural. It was all NATURAL!!

I can’t believe it myself because everyone complains about the pains from labour. The only time my sister felt pain was the contractions at our house. This is so surreal. I still can’t believe I’m an aunt now. He’s such a cutie pie too. I went to visit my sister after I was done school, which was at 11am and didn’t leave until 4pm. The baby is such a bundle of joy and he pooped twice while I was there. It was cute!!

Here are some photos of him. Ladies and gentlemen, please meet my nephew Marquis Anthony…..
