May 9th, 2008Mother’s Day Gifts!

I’m a little stuck with ideas on what to get my mother for Mother’s Day. I’m actually nervous about it because it’s only a few days away!! I still haven’t even talked it over with my sisters either. *sigh*

Maybe I’ll just go for something easy such as flowers. I know that 1800Flowers.com have perfect mother’s day flowers available. They also have gift baskets and other goodies that you can send to your mom as well. Not to mention everything is on sale too!!

Hum…*thinking*…maybe I SHOULD get her a gift basket with lots of goodies of her favourite things! That sounds like a plan to me!

May 1st, 2008Having a baby soon?

When my nephew was born last year in November, I mentioned to my sister that sending out birth announcements would be a good idea. That way you can show what the little one looks like and tell his birth stats to all your family and friends instead of calling them one by one.

Of course she didn’t think it was necessary and didn’t end up sending ANY! I don’t understand why she didn’t send any since she had to spend all day calling people instead. *smacks forehead*

I think sending out photo birth announcements of the new bundle of joy is such a great idea. Companies such as Doodlebug Dezings have adorable ones available!!

Not only do they have great prices, but they also have some unique designs to choose from. Plus, they even do some for holidays, weddings, and even invitations to parties!!

If you or someone you know are having a baby soon, then look into getting these unique custom birth announcements and spread the great news when your little one arrives!

Matthew 28:1-10
After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”

So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings,” he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.”

March 23rd, 2008Happy Easter!

Well, I just wanted to wish you all a safe and happy Easter. Remember to enjoy the small things in life and cherish each moment you get to spend with your family. Have fun with the easter egg hunts or other gatherings you have planned for today.

Of course I can’t pass an occasion without taking photos of my nephew to commemorate the date. LOL! So here are two photos of my little nephew Marquis all dressed up in a bunny suit next to an easter bunny toy that I bought him.
