Can you believe that Mother’s Day is literally next week?!! Geeze…months do fly by because I have yet to get my mom anything yet. I’ve been thinking about things she needs or wants and have come up with a few things. Maybe a new cookware set (which is what my dad suggested), summer clothes, or even some kind of electronic.

I’m thinking maybe a Casio Digital Camera like this pink one shown in the photo off to the side. Why a digital camera for my mom? Well, just last week I bought myself a new pocket digital camera because I needed one small enough to fit in my purse so I could take pictures on the go. My mom really enjoyed the simplicity of it and wanted one of her own. Hence, why I think a digital camera may be a great gift for her this year.

Right now you can save $83 off the original price by buying it at 42Photo.com. That is awesome!! Plus, they even have accessories for the camera such as memory cards, camera bags, tripods and even cleaning kits.

My mom might need some of those as well which is great because you can get it all from one place for great prices. Check out 42photo.com yourself!!

When I was a young teen, I tried finding communities online that were worthwhile with plenty of girly things to do. At that time, there weren’t many and it became boring rather quick.

Nowadays, you have great websites such as GirlSense.com that cater to pre-teen and teen girls. Not only are there awesome dress up games with dolls, but you can also create fashion, communicate with other girls your own age, and even build your own boutique. Amazing, isn’t it?? I sure as heck think so!!

Plenty of fun to keep you occupied for hours!! So check out GirlSense – Online dress up games for girls and see what you can create.

May 1, 2008 Having a baby soon?

When my nephew was born last year in November, I mentioned to my sister that sending out birth announcements would be a good idea. That way you can show what the little one looks like and tell his birth stats to all your family and friends instead of calling them one by one.

Of course she didn’t think it was necessary and didn’t end up sending ANY! I don’t understand why she didn’t send any since she had to spend all day calling people instead. *smacks forehead*

I think sending out photo birth announcements of the new bundle of joy is such a great idea. Companies such as Doodlebug Dezings have adorable ones available!!

Not only do they have great prices, but they also have some unique designs to choose from. Plus, they even do some for holidays, weddings, and even invitations to parties!!

If you or someone you know are having a baby soon, then look into getting these unique custom birth announcements and spread the great news when your little one arrives!

So this morning I go and check my email to see what comments are waiting in moderation. I see a few here and there on various sites of mine, but one just blew me away. This comment was left on my site “A Woman’s Diary” which is just an aggregator collection of my websites (ie: RSS feeds).

Some of you may recall the post I published on many of my websites last September 11th. If you don’t, this is what it said:

Though I’m not American, I mourn for the
human lives lost that day.
All of you are in my prayers.

-TinaSilva

Anyways, I get a comment on that post that said this:

It’s hard to imagine, how people have guts to write comments like that. I would never write anything like this, because I would have thought what other would think of me after that. I know that it doesn’t matter who you are in Internet, you can act however you want, but anyway I would remember that a man should act nice and polite, no matter if he is online or offline.

Huh??? Guts to write comments like how? That I mourn for all those innocent people who were killed as the planes smashed into the buildings, as the floors started to collapse on top of each other, as people jumped from the windows, and all those in and around the building!!!

Comments like that just make my blood boil to unbelievable temperatures especially on this subject in regards to the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center. When you put all nationalities, races, and cultures aside, we are all humans. We each have a beating heat, a brain, and a conscious. Maybe the commenter didn’t when they left that ridiculous comment on my website which is why I ended up blocking them from ever seeing my websites again.

Stupid people never learn!

Yes…I know…It’s 2am and what I am doing? Blogging and making a video about some seafood and my most embarrassing moment. Trust me…watch the video and you will understand why it was pretty embarrassing especially since it happened on a day I’ll never forever.

Going back to talking about the seafood part of the video, have you ever heard of Gulf oysters? I haven’t either. One of the things I DEFINITELY didn’t know, was that your could get sick from oysters if they were undercooked. Plus, you’re suppose to avoid eating oysters if you have liver disease or even diabetes. Geeze..not like I have either but still new information to me.

There are lots of more things you should know about oysters. Go and check it out at BeOysterAware.com.
