January 9, 2009 2009 ALREADY!!

Wow the last few weeks just flew by.

I feel like I’ve been neglecting alot of things. So this weekend, I hope to tackle down and get things back in normal routine. What am I talking about?

Let’s see…blogging on all my blogs, discarding links and sites I no longer own, catching up on my 2000+ subscription feeds >_< , visiting some blogs to comment since I haven’t been there in awhile, and getting reviews done asap.

I also need to make “spring cleaning” happen now. My office and bedroom are in complete ruins. Everything is out of place and just not in order. It’s actually driving me crazy because I can’t find stuff when I need them. So ya…emergency spring cleaning needs to happen sometime in the next few days.

Oh ya…I’ve finally started reading the Twilight series the other day when I borrowed the first two books from my sister. AMAZINGGGGGGG…it really is as good as everyone claims it to be. The first book was unbelievable. The way the author wrote the conversations back and forth between Bella and Edward was stunningly beautiful. I finished that in a matter of a day. I’m currently halfway through the second book called “New Moon”. It’s not as good as the first, but it’s getting interesting again.

Then yesterday, I saw the movie. I must say I was disappointed at that. It was so dull and I felt like they skipped too many important conversions. The connection between the two actors wasn’t there either…well, not how you felt it from the book. Plus, the movie went by too fast. Oh well, I hope they make a sequel at least. Maybe they’ll learn the mistakes from the first movie and make it way better in the second.

But anyways, I’m trying to sort out one of my mailboxes…100+ emails…and it’s not even the one that I use for contact on my websites. I’m dreading opening up that one as I haven’t checked it in months. @_@

December 23, 2008 Woot! It’s done!!

Wasn’t sure I’d get a chance and go out to the mall to finish off my Christmas shopping, but I did!! It’s all wrapped and placed under the tree next to all the gifts my sister and parents bought. Now it’s just waiting for my other sister’s gifts to be placed there as well. I’ll have to take a photo of it all together before everyone digs in and looks for their gifts.

We’ll be opening our gifts tomorrow night on Christmas Eve. To be honest, I can’t remember a time when my family actually opened our gifts on Christmas morning. I think we’ve always done it on the eve before. We do this whole party too. My mother goes all out with cooking some Portuguese favourites, plus she cooks seafood by the bundles so everyone will have enough to eat. Half the time, we have leftovers of shrimp, crabs, lobsters, muscles, and even clams….yes…she cooks all of it. LOL. Afterall, we are celebrating. HAHAHA.

This year should be lots of fun though. My nephew is old enough that he can open his own presents, unlike last year where he was just a month old. So it’ll be fun to see him dig in as well and feel the Christmas spirit. He already knows “Ho, Ho, Ho”. He even repeats it sometimes. Plus, he smiles whenever you put on a santa hat.

He knows that the presents under the tree are for opening. I caught him opening one before and had to snatch it before he saw what it was. Ironnically, he grabbed one that was labeled for him too. Hahaha.

But yeah…Christmas should be definitely fun this year!

So, when is your family opening gifts?? Christmas Eve or Christmas Day??

December 14, 2008 Please don’t shoot me! >_<

I know…crazy long time since I’ve updated here.

So let me get you updated on all current events since the end of October.

  1. My nephew turned 1 years old!! Woohoo…still can’t believe how fast that first year has gone. I’ll have to get some updated photos of him and post them soon.
  2. My younger sister has finally graduated from high school after being a slacker/trouble maker who skipped classes and dropped out early. She’s been taking classes at this center, and just received her diploma a few days. Plus, she even applied to college and already got accepted into residence. WOOT!! I’m proud of you sis!!
  3. The rest of the family is good, and me…well I could be better but I’m fine for now. lol.

CHRISTMAS…

Can’t believe it’s almost here again. I’m usually the one who’s done the shopping first before December evens starts. This year…well, lets just say I only got three gifts, two of which are for my nephew. I still have to get stuff for my parents, both my sisters, my brother-in-law, my dog, and another gift for my nephew.

Phew…so much stuff to buy and the days are ticking down slowly.

Yes…it’s my birthday today!! I am now 23 years old. LOL.

Gosh, time flies by so darn quick. I can remember my childhood like it was yesterday.

Today should be fun though. My family is getting together to celebrate and even my close cousin (who is practically another sister to me), is also stopping by. So it’ll be great seeing her as well.

So anyways, I’m off to bed early tonight. Gotta be ready to rock through the day, so I need my sleep. Heehee.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!

Woot woot woot. lolz.

Can you believe I’ve taken so long to blog here. Bah!! Not cool at all considering I do nothing all day. Yes, you heard me. Since my last couple of posts, I ended up quitting my job. I marched right in there and told them that I had to quit and even made a letter of resignation. They asked how come, if there was anything they could do to change my mind, etc. But the truth be told, I had to leave because of personal reasons (ie: just sick and tired of doing that kind of work, plus some supervisors just rubbed me the wrong way).

So here I am, free without really a care in the world. I blog when I can, watch my nephew a lot, and play WOW (World of Warcraft) with Jen almost everyday. We are definitely a duo to be reckoned with. Hahaha!!

Maybe I’ll find another job soon, but having some time off from work is always nice. Plus,  Halloween is just around the corner, then comes Christmas. On top of that, October & November are birthday crazy months in my family. My older sister’s was on Oct 16. Mine, on Oct 29. Then comes my dad Nov 9 and my nephew’s 1st birthday on the Nov 12th. Then after that in early December comes my parents anniversary. It gets pretty hectic trying to find everyone the perfect gifts, not only for their birthdays but right afterward for Christmas too! And think about the money!! I don’t know how I’m going to come up with it, but I’ll somehow manage.

Anyways, I don’t know how many of you regular readers remember when I woke up with a black tongue for the first time last year. Maybe this post will refresh your memory. Well, it seems that my other post that provides the explanation has helped soooo many people. The number of people getting black tongues is pretty astonishing. I have almost 200 responses and get comments almost everyday on that post.

At the time of the incident, the box I had never said it may cause a black tongue, so I’m not sure if the company has it now written as a label. I think everyone should be aware of it and hope it’s on the damn box. Since that time, I can’t say I really use it anymore. I try to ride out upset stomachs and it eventually passes – so no more black tongues for me. LOL!!

September 24, 2008 Changes In My Life

Yes…I’m making changes in my life. Nothing is set in motion yet cause I’m still thinking about it all, but I definitely know where I’m going to start off with. What would that be? Quitting my current job as a telephone sales representative.

I absolutely HATE it. I can’t stand it any longer and it’s just ticking me off way too much. The supervisors are asswipes, the hours are insanely stupid, and MANDATORY shifts for working on holidays like HALLOWEEN or CHRISTMAS – I DON’T THINK SO!! Enough is enough. I’m sick of it all and need a break.

I was hoping that it would last since it’s a good pay considering what you are doing, but it’s just to stressful and I dread going in each and everyday…and if you haven’t noticed all of my complaints on twitter, well, let’s just say there’s a lot.

So tomorrow…I’m thinking about telling one of the supervisors that I want to leave. Most people give two weeks notice and then they say you are expected to cover your shifts for the next two weeks. I don’t think so, sorry. I’m sick of it, what makes them think I’ll cover those shifts? No thank-you. I don’t really care if I leave there with a not so good rep. Honestly, I don’t really care. I’ve done it before, I’ll do it again.

When I hate something sooo much, there’s no stopping me and there’s no forcing me to do anything. I’ll take off and continue living my life the way I want to and not be a slave to any company.

I’ll go back to school & paid blogging if I have to. I have no problem. In fact, I’m already looking at school stuff to plan my next move. And the paid blogging? Well, that is just way too easy and I can handle that as well.

Then I’ll have no restrictions and can sleep in late and stay up all night doing what I want to do and not have to worry about going off to work early the following day. I hate that the most. I’d rather spend time with my family and do things at home, then deal with crummie customers ALL-DAY-LONG on the phones.

Get my drift? I’m sure we’ve all had a job like this one time or another. And it sucks…majorly. I’ve had a headache all day thinking about this stuff and what I’m going to do. I know my parents won’t approve it but I don’t care. I’m living my life the way I want to and some changes I think ARE necessary and FOR THE BETTER before I go off the deep end and completely lose it.

September 10, 2008 Not Good At All…

I know, I lack in updating. Blame it all on World of Warcraft. I can’t stop playing that online game. It’s so addicting but so much fun too. Yes…I’m now an official WOW dork.

Anyways, I’ve been suffering from this tooth ache for awhile now. People who follow me on twitter, probably heard me complain about it on numerous occasions. I chipped my tooth awhile back and didn’t get it fixed right away. Having that hole, seems to have caused some infection. Now I think I have a gum abscess which is not pretty at all.

And the pain……..OMGGGGGGGG…the pain. Words cannot describe it. I know I have to make a dentist appointment asap!! No waiting anymore. This abscess can cause a lot of bad stuff, not to mention the infection. If you do a search on what an abscess is, you’ll see it on people’s gums. It’s like a bubble that is filled with pus and needs to be drained.

The sad thing is, I’m currently not covered by any dental insurance. I was suppose to be covered after working six months at my job, yet I haven’t heard about anything yet. I’ll have to inquire about it the next time I go in for my shift.

I may need a root canal which can cost way too much $$$. Ranged from $350-$1000+ depending where you are. If it’s way too much for me to cover, I’ll probably end up getting my tooth pulled and the infection treated.

I can’t deal with this anymore. It hurts way too much and is swelling.
