Froggy Love

My favourite are the froggies. It brings back memories of this one time I was at my aunt & uncle’s house and there was tons of frogs – assorted sizes and colours – around this big pond they have. Mind you, I didn’t touch or pick up any because ewl gross, I’m a girl and I shouldn’t dare touch frogs.

But, that was a sight to see!! Wish I had a camera back then to capture it. I’ve never seen so many frogs in my life until that day.

And in case you’re wondering, I did NOT try and kiss any to see if they’d turn into a prince. Heehee

I don’t have the funds to pay for an operation or any of the veterinarian medical expenses. This breaks my heart beyond what any words can say. There’s not even anyone I can borrow money from or even put on my credit cards because they are already maxed out and I have constant phone calls from the company reminding and pressuring me to make payments. *sigh*

My dog turned 13 years old this year which is about 68 years old in dog years according to this site. Apparently the 1 human year is 7 dog years rule no longer applies.

Sure it seems young, then again she’s entering into the lifespan range of the breeds she is, which is a Chihuahua-Pomeranian mix (also know as Pomchi). She takes on more of her Chihuahua side in appearance but her size is about the same as a full size Pomeranian.

Just thinking about not having her around kills me. My heart aches so much and I would gladly take every problem, disease, cancer, or whatever she’s suffering from and make it my own just so she can be healthy.

Yes, I even PRAYED for this! I just can’t bare seeing her suffer and deteriorate right in front of my eyes. I can’t even imagine if I have to put her down. I think I’d die from all the pain of watching her take her last breath & glance at me. Heartbroken.

I don’t know what to do besides try and make her time remaining the best and most comfortable as possible. My life just won’t be complete without her by my side.

I’ve been able to reconnect with my aunt and cousins who live in Portugal. I’ve never met them or seen them in person, but we’ve known each other existed through stories from my father and uncle. Then one day I get a message from one of my cousins who tells me she’s my aunt’s daughter. And well, lets just say it’s been such a wonderful time reconnecting with that side of the family. The side of the family I never got to know or meet.

I can’t wait to make a trip to Portugal and visit them someday or vice versa with them coming to Canada. It’s going to be great! Only problem may be the language barrier. I’m not the best at speaking or writing in Portuguese as I’ve grown up with English as my first language, but I’m trying. Thankfully, so far what I’ve been able to write they understand. Haha.

Well, I get the help of family with that too which is great. Now to use MSN Messenger or Skype to web cam with them since they have already done so with my uncle’s family. My father can’t wait to see them on it. But there’s a time zone difference so we have to figure out when is the best time for both of us to get a chance to sit down and actually see each other.

Yes, that’s my dog named Ginger. She’s a Chihuahua and Pomeranian mix and will be 13 years old this month. She is my world and best friend. She’s great with children too, as long as they don’t pull her tail or take her doggy snacks (the last photo is her giving friendly kisses to my goddaughter). Through thick and thin, she’s been there to always cheer me up.

Anyone who has a dog or cat for a long period of time knows how important they become in your life. They sense when something’s wrong with you and try their best to make you happy. Even after a long day of work, you come through the door and are greeted lovingly. It’s such a great feeling.

I can’t imagine not having her in my life. She is my world – my everything.
