April 10th, 2008Awful Morning!

I was lying in my bed just relaxing before I felt the need to get up and get on with the day, and something happened. I got a stupid charley horse (aka a muscle spasm in my right leg). I sat up really quickly because the pain was unbelievable. It hurt so damn much.

I don’t normally get these spasms. I get them once in a blue moon, but geeze…this one hurt like crazy. I was swearing up and down because of the pain. What a way to wake up in the morning!! Now, it’s gone away except that I can still feel some pain in the leg. For example, when I walk, I can’t put pressure on my right leg because it hurts still.

Arghh…seriously…why do charley horses happened anyways especially since I wasn’t doing anything except laying in bed. I DIDN’T EVEN STRETCH!!

March 14th, 2008Days go by so slow…

I’m still not sure if that is a good thing or not?

But seriously…it seems that I have had this cold forever. It’s not going away and the cough is just plain annoying. How can you sleep when you are constantly coughing? I sure can’t…well not until I got Benylin as a few people I know both online and offline suggested to me. I got the day and night pills that are extra strength. I can honestly say I’m completely in love with the night ones. I pop two of those pills and bammmmmmmmm….I’m asleep in about five minutes.

One of my close friends named Roslyn, who I truly do consider as my “human best friend” (as you all know my dog is my best friend too lol)… because she knows me like a book and can tell when I’m upset, annoyed, pissed off, and even what I have to do in the bathroom. LOL! Anyways…she thinks I’m addicted to the pills…but I swear I’m not. They just work so damn great for sleeping at night when you are sick.

Anyways…you’re probably thinking why I didn’t name this post “popping pills” or something along those lines. In all honesty…I was actually going to blog about how friggin long some days really are. It seems that the days are going so slowly by because of the fact I just can’t wait until Sunday. It’s like it’s so damn far away or something. What’s special on Sunday?? Well, my older sister Lisa is throwing a tupperware party. Yippy!! LOL!…it’ll be the first one I have ever attended!! Sweet!! I can’t wait either because I’m going to see some people that I haven’t seen in awhile there.

So please….Sunday, HURRY UP!!!

February 28th, 2008Here comes another cold…

Just when I thought I wasn’t going to get another cold this season, one hits me again. Err…I’m so not happy since I just got over having a cold a week ago. How do I know I’m getting yet another cold? Simply because of this nasty cough I have developed. That’s how all my colds start…always with a constant cough throughout a day.

Thank goodness I have Sudafed now. Man, I am so happy over that since it’ll make my cough go away quicker as it always works for me. The thing I’m not looking forward to is having to be on the phone all day when I’m at work and having to deal with this cough.

Anyways, I got so many photos I still need to upload to flickr that’s it’s unbelievable…so many occasions in February and I haven’t uploaded a single one. *sigh* … hopefully I’ll do that sometime tonight.

February 24th, 2008One of my goals…

Once again, I’ve been thinking about the goals I set for myself at the beginning of the year. I haven’t accomplished or even started one of the most important ones which was start to live a healthy and active lifestyle.

I don’t know why I haven’t got on the move on with this…really I don’t know. Maybe it’s because I have a job now that requires so many hours and there’s not enough time in a day to do everything. Maybe…or just that it has become one of the least of my worries.

Hopefully I can change this soon enough. I’m thinking about getting more exercise equipment at home to add with the gazelle I have. I want a elliptical or some sort of exercise bike that I can use for a good solid hour everyday. I even saw this cool thing called an ab roller at Wal-Mart for about $100 that seems worthwhile.

I’ll probably by some more equipment soon enough. Hum….tomorrow?? Maybe. LOL!

February 15th, 2008Soooo freakin’ sick!!

I am not even joking. I’ve got a running nose that sometimes feels stuck even though I blow it all the time. I’ve also got a bad cough, sore throat, watery eyes, sneeze marathons, and have taken more Advil for headaches in the past few days than I have in all my life!!! And no, I’m NOT exaggerating!!

I even called in sick on Wednesday from my job because I felt like complete crap in the morning. That day I slept well into the afternoon. Even now, a few days later, I still have the stupid cold but have been going to work regardless. After all, I can’t be missing a shit load of days from my new job. No thanks…I don’t want to put that into jeopardy.

I work again tomorrow but hopefully I’ll get a chance to swing by Wal-Mart in the morning so I can check out the cold medications they have. I usually get Sudafed which has ALWAYS worked in getting my colds to go away. Julie also suggested Nyquil which I can honestly say, I’ve never tried.

I’m not a huge pill popper or medication taker. In fact, I prefer to have my body heal itself from any sickness the natural way. So when I said I’ve taken more Advil in the past few days…it really was the honest truth. I’ve probably going taken Advil once or twice in all my 22 years of living. I know…unbelievable. LOL!! Sudafed I have taken once or twice every year when I get really bad colds such as this. That’s the one thing I know that will always work to get rid of it that fast way. Plus, I’ve never had any side affects from it either. So that’s a plus!! LOL!

Anyways, I’m heading to bed so I can finish reading this amazing book called Yakuza Moon by Shoko Tendo which I think is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I can’t put this book down at all because it’s really interesting. Then again, I absolutely love the Japanese culture, so I’d read anything related to it. I’ve read some great books in my lifetime, and this is definitely one of them. I’ll probably have a review of it once I’m done on my other site Fading Away In Life.

Toodles for now and btw, Happy Valentine’s Day even though I’m a day late.

dietpill.jpgToo bad there’s no quick way to fix the obesity problem in North America. There’s no magic diet pills that will make you lose your appetite. Well not yet anyways.

I was reading about something on The Daily Mail about some kind of drug that allowed patients to eat all the junk foods without gaining weight or something along those lines. Some people might look at that as a good thing, but really…it’s NOT!!

Just think of all the junk you’ll be putting in your bodies. Not to mention you don’t want to consume so much satiated fats or high glucose amounts. That will only lead to more problems.

I don’t think this so called drug is going to do any good even though some people think it might. It’s not what we need in this world.

What we need is more cheaper gym memberships!! Geeze…those prices just keep raising to ridiculous amounts. You might as well buy the equipment yourself and setup your own home gym. It would be cheaper in the long run!! Plus you can exercise naked which is something you can’t really do at a normal gym.

January 16th, 2008Q: How do I manage it all?

I always get emails or comments about how can I manage so many blogs, maintain a real job, have family time, and have time for myself. The answer is rather simple. Get organized!

  1. Get an organizer/agenda: This will probably be your best friend. You can keep track of days you work, family events, appointments, and keep a blogging schedule so you can blog on certain days. That’s what I do. I usually keep this info in my phone calendar because it’s much easier for me to see when I’m on the go, but even a pocket calendar can do the job.
  2. Remove the clutter: In part with being organized, you must maintain a clean environment around you. How else are you suppose to find notes that you made if your desk is one big pile of crap? See my point.
  3. Use a notepad: Get a nice notepad where you can jot down ideas, websites, things to do, etc. You can even rip out pages and stick it on your screen for things you need to remember.
  4. Plan your day effectively: Try to do the hard things first so they can get out of the way as soon as possible. Also, look to see what time you can unwind. Everyone needs to rest. Power nap throughout the day if you have to. It’s always great!!
  5. Don’t forget to eat: Keep some healthy snacks with you at all times. How else are you suppose to keep your energy flowing throughout the day.
  6. Don’t stress: Yup…don’t stress over the small things. It’s not worth your time, energy, or getting your emotions worked up. Go with the flow.
  7. Have fun: You have to like what your doing and have fun. If you’re just too serious, you are never going to go places. Take a deep breath and relax. Enjoy your day!
