To all my readers and visitors, I apologize.

Even though I get on my computer pretty much everyday, I never get the encouragement to blog about anything. My mind is just blank. So I keep prolonging updates.

Then the unthinkable happened…

…I will blog about it heresoon enough.

That single event, flipped my world upside down.

I’ve been trying to keep my head up…but it’s really really hard.

Well, that’s just peachy. So how on earth is my site overloading your system? Of course a quick Google search about what can causing system overloads turned up that sometimes themes or plugins with wordpress can cause this. I didn’t touch, install, or do anything to some of my sites for months besides a new post here or there. I tried to correct it with how they suggested and reduce it, and was willing to help in anyway I could. In the end, they just decided to terminate it. Ugh.

So that made me have to find a new home, which I happily did with HostGator. I am really happy with my choice so far. The tech support is AMAZING. Anything I needed help with, they helped me fix it! Plus, I messed up on my sign up which stirred a lot of problems with the billing and what not, but they were able to get it fixed and ready to go after a simple live chat conversation.

I’m monitoring my account very carefully now and checking the usage via Cpanel. I don’t want to cause my new hosting company to have system overloads either.

I’ve been bringing my sites and those of friends/family that I host up one by one in hopes of finding the culprit. Even have WP Super Cache installed on all which was suggested before my previous host terminated my account. I have also been removing themes & plugins that are not in use and trying to simplify themes I have on my domains just in case.

I’m not sure what it is about the site that I enjoy. I mean, I have my own domains, web hosting, and use WordPress for a bunch of my blogs…but Tumblr…it seems so different and just “fresh” in a sense.

But anyways, I made a few blogs using Tumblr like this one and my wow blog. Come visit and follow me. I’ll be sure to return the favour.

And yes…I know most of my domains now need a whole revamping down. I’m hoping to work on each site over the weekend and get some new fresh stuff out on them, clean up some junk, and just make it all more simple and fresh. PEACE.

What spam plugins, addons, or whatever do you use to minimize the amount of spam or fake comments you get on your blog??

I currently use Akismet only and even though that catches some, it lets way too many slide by. My comment moderation feels like a chore with the amount of spam and garbage.

So, help me out. Any suggestions are very much appreciated!

Whew…it feels like forever since I blogged here and I’ll tell you just want happened.

First of all, about a week and a half ago, I was unable to see my website. I thought it was just down once again because this site was still on the crappy host I had before (Pixelled-Solutions.com), and I never transferred it to my new host. So I thought it was the same old routine of it being down and would come up in a few days. Nope not the case.

In fact, EVERYONE ELSE could see my website except me. I could load any other website in my browser except for my own. I even tried on my sister’s computer and it was the same results. I couldn’t see it. I went to work and tried on the computers there. It worked. I tried on my Blackberry. It worked. Friends and family tried on their own computers on their own internet connections. It worked. The only explanation I could come up with was that I was somehow blocked from my own web hosting company. I mean, how can I be the only one who can’t see it on my home connection.

Anyways, needless to say, I sent in an email to an email address I saved of the “so called owner”. Of course I never received a reply back because this guy is a jackass. Then a week later, I try out my website and it magically appears again. At the same time I get an email from the company talking about server moving and changes. Sureeeeeeeeeeeee….isn’t that always the excuse?

I also happened to notice that the owner name changed. Maybe the jackass guy sold it to someone else since the name was a female name. But whatever. I don’t care about it. As soon as I saw the sites on that server were up and running, I backed up EVERYTHING!! Then I transferred them all to the new host I’m on. So in case you were wondering how my site being kind of wonky for the past day, that’s the reason.

I’m just glad this site is finally off of that one host. What a pain in the ass they are to deal with. I would NEVER recommend them anyone to ANYMORE!!
