I recoloured the previous wordpress theme of Delicate Dreams and created this one called Sorrowful Skies. It’s of more dark tones and you should be viewing it actively on my site. Here’s a thumbnail just in case.

You can download it under the wordpress themes section. Hope you enjoy it and let me know what you think. Thanks!

Hey everyone. I finally released a wordpress theme. Click the image below to go to the download page. This theme is widget ready thanks to Otto for his help! Yay! Please let me know what you think. Thanks!

[EDIT:] Well, I actually changed my layout to reflect the new one that I have released. I also made some minor changes to the theme.

August 16th, 2006Enjoying Summer

Well, summer has pretty much come and gone. Only a few weeks left until school begins once again with another school year. This september, I registered into a program called Office Administration. It should be fun…I think. LOL! Well, we’ll see I guess.

There are a few things I still want to visit or go this summer before it’s completely over.

  1. Niagara Falls
  2. Maybe Punta Cana again
  3. Royal Botannical Gardens
  4. Toronto Zoo

Um…I think that’s it. So we’ll see how those go. I don’t want to go by myself of course. Hopefully my whole family would like to join, but I find that it’s harder to get everyone together for some strange reason even though we all live under the same roof. It bites to be exact because someone will be free and then the others are not. But hopefully we’ll do those things as family outings.

I’m not sure if I mentioned that I have the wallpaper section up. Some were created from photographs I took, while this new one below is what I created with brushes, psds, and other nick-nacks in Photoshop CS2. Here is the newest wallpaper addition:

You can download it under content/wallpaper. Enjoy!

May 28th, 2006Summer 2006 Books

Here’s a list I put together with books that are a great read for those sunny summer afternoons while you curl up on a lounge chair. Summer is arriving quickly, so get out there and start reading.

Burnt Toast by Teri Hatcher
In the hope that her foibles and insights might inspire and motivate other women, Teri opens up about the little moments that have sustained her through good times and bad. From the everyday to the rare, the message at the heart of Burnt Toast that happiness and success are choices that we owe it to ourselves to make is sure to resonate with women everywhere.

Cesar’s Way by Cesar Millan
There are at least 68 million dogs in America, and their owners lavish billions of dollars on them every year. So why do so many pampered pets have problems? In this definitive and accessible guide, Cesar Millan—star of National Geographic Channel’s hit show Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan—reveals what dogs truly need to live a happy and fulfilled life.

Dispatches from the Edge by Anderson Cooper
Few people have witnessed more scenes of chaos and conflict around the world than Anderson Cooper, whose groundbreaking coverage on CNN has changed the way we watch the news. In this gripping, candid, and remarkably powerful memoir, he offers an unstinting, up-close view of the most harrowing crises of our time, and the profound impact they have had on his life.

Forensic Files by Dr. Henry Lee
Legendary forensic scientist Lee continues to build his popular bibliography with his latest collaboration with medical doctor Labriola, but those seeking revelations about the two notorious cases cited in the subtitle will be disappointed. The investigation of Scott Peterson, the Elizabeth Smart abduction, and the case that closes the book, involving a plot worthy of fiction—two suspects accusing each other of the murder of the wife of one of them—challenged Lee’s skills to reconstruct who was actually guilty.

Home With God by Neale Donald Walsch
Through his profound and personal dialogue with God, Walsch explores the process by which all human beings must end their days here on Earth and begin their new life in God’s Kingdom, to which all eventually return, regardless of their earthly deeds. This astonishing spiritual work offers hope, comfort, and surprising revelations for all humankind.

May 14th, 2006When Spring Arrives

“When Spring Arrives”

Flowers bloom
As spring arrives
Everything beautiful
Comes alive

The grass turns green
Leafs start to grow
Flowers start to colour
Into so many rows

With spring comes a beginning
With new opportunities to arise
So put your best foot forward
And get ready for a surprise

May 12th, 2006Who’s Dat Girl?

“Who’s Dat Girl?”

Brown hair
And brown eyes
A perfect nose
And a beautiful smile

Who is this girl
That doesn’t give a shit
About any problems
Or any conflicts

Her name is Tanya
And she is my sis
She is black at heart
And knows how to kiss

She is smart and funny
But sometimes a pain
Can be tough at times
And even swears in vain

She is going places in life
That others never thought
Because she listened deeply
To everything I taught

I care for her
More than words can say
With hope and lots of love
I ask God each day

May 12th, 2006Dear Ashley

“Dear Ashley”

What do you say
When tragedy comes
To someone you love
Who holds on so strong

A girl so beautiful
Who has had a hard life
Cares about others
But turned to a knife

Deep sorrow surrounds her
That made her this way
But everything can change
So listen to what I say

We love you alot
More than you know
We’ll stick with you
Through all the tomorrows

You are very smart
And can be funny too
You can change the world
With everything you do

I can see you in the future
A strong head on top
With a success story
That will make some heads pop

But just remember one thing
From all those who helped
You can do anything you set your mind to
So keep your head up

*Dedicated to my cousin Ashley whom I love as my own sister.*
