One of the toys I recently bought my nephew.

It’s been such a “blah” day today. I mean…the weather was nice out but I wasn’t feeling it. I just grudged around all day in pjs. Not to mention I have a big pile of mess on my desk and in my room that I wanted to clean up and get organized. Did I do so? Nope…haven’t even touched the mess as of yet.

Then there’s emails, blog postings, assignments, and other crap I still have to do. Will I get to it tonight? Probably not. I might have to tackle it all tomorrow morning before I head off to work.

I am in serious need of a vacation. I’m not even exaggerating. It just feels like I need one asap. I need my mind to cool off of things and just relax in the glorious sun and swim to my hearts content.

After a long day of many packages arriving in the mail, going shopping with my sisters, then having my photography night class, I think I’m ready to call it a day. What will I be doing tonight? Well…I got two new movies in the mail that I purchased recently. You can see them in the photo below. I’ll probably watch Juno tonight and than Nancy Drew sometime tomorrow.

One of my favourite things to do once the weather starts to warm up, is go down to the lake. In Hamilton, the park is called Confederation Park. The lake…well it’s Lake Ontario. I love strolling up and down by the lake side watching people pass by, birds fly, and the water slowly come up the sand. It’s really soothing and probably one of my favourite spots of peace and quiet.

A few days ago, my family ventured out for a nice stroll. Of course my nephew fell asleep so I couldn’t take any photos of him on the rocks, by the sand, etc. I did take some nice photos of just the environment and surrounding area. Even though the photos below depict the water to be nice and blue, it is heavily polluted and I wouldn’t even dream of swimming in that water.

I was just catching up on the rss feeds I’m subscribed to and came across this image. Made me laugh really hard being Canadian and all. LMAO.

5. I have a love/hate relationship with sharks. I love reading about them and learning new things. I have and I don’t mind swimming with them when I’m in the Caribbean but I’m petrified to visit Mexico or Florida and swim in their waters because of shark attacks.
6. I absolutely LOVE those huge Mr. Freezies. I always stock up with them in my freezer for the summer. *looks in freezer* Check. I’ve got some already! lol
7. I hate public speaking or doing presentations now, yet when I was a kid, I won public speaking competitions.
8. I am obsessed with mirrors and chapstick. I always have both on me at ALL TIMES!
9. I have a huge heart for animals and cry uncontrollably whenever I see animal cruelty especially towards dogs or cats. (Oprah’s “puppy mills” special…ya…I cried a river that day!)
10. I secretly drink alcohol in my room almost every night. It’s not like we’re not allowed to drink alcohol in my house, by all means…it’s definitely an ALCOHOL FRIENDLY home…I just get embarrassed if I drink in front of my parents or sisters. lol.
