December 25th, 2007Merry Christmas!

December 23rd, 2007Very spooky!

Some weird things have been happening lately. Just the other day I took a photo of my room and I caught the biggest orb ever!! It actually freaked me out because it was past 3 a.m. and I was the only one awake. I’ve read many things where it said that around that time is when it’s the most active time.

Now today, I’m sitting here at my desk, and the lamp next to me keeps flickering. Now you’re probably wondering why a flickering light would freak out anyone, but the reason is that everytime I try to record it on my new flip video camera, it stops flickering. I even set the video down and left it recording but still nothing. I shut off the camera and I swear not even a minute later, it started flickering. It’s flickering right now too!!

[EDIT:]

HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ………………………… I GOT IT ON FILM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Look at the video below. You can see it flickering then goes out but is still flickering. It’s so fucked up. And no the bulb didn’t run out or anything. It’s a brand new light bulb!!!!!!!!

December 22nd, 2007I had a heart attack today…

Not literally, but it sure felt that way. I’ll tell you what happened.

My mom and I were about to head out to the mall for some last minute Christmas shopping. I was putting my dog out in the front yard so she could do her business before we left. She’s not one to run after anything or anyone, so I just expected her to go off to the grass and do her doggy business. As I step out onto the porch with her in front of me, she runs down the steps barking her head off and proceeds to the road.

I start screaming her name and run after her because I saw cars coming and the cars couldn’t see her because of the snow that is way too high on both sides of my driveway. She gets onto the road and is dead center in the middle of it. I could see the cars right next to her and just stared at the wheels of this jeep and then the other car. What flashed in my mind was the wheel running over her little head.

There was no time for the cars to slow down her stop because it was just so sudden. Somehow, with God’s hands, she stayed right in the middle as both cars passed her by. I MEAN LITERALLY RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE!!! Dead center in the middle of the yellow line. I couldn’t believe my eyes and ran to grab her off the road. My heart was racing so fast and I felt like I was going to faint. Tears started running down my cheeks as I walked back towards my house, without her even doing her business.

I couldn’t believe it…my dog almost died today. It was one of those things that happen in life that leave you stunned, shaking, and in complete shock. If you ever had a major car accident, you know what I’m talking about. The wind is just swept from you and you are still in disbelief. I still can’t believe she came that close.

I don’t know what I would do without her. She is honestly my best friend (as strange as that sounds, I know). But really….like I mentioned before, she’s my shadow. She eats, sleeps, and plays with me everyday. Well more like I play with her. She even follows me wherever I go (ie: When I go to another room, she follows. If I go outside, she wants to go too and waits for her collar. When I go to the bathroom, she waits outside the door. When I’m working on the computer, like right now, she’s next to me sleeping on another computer chair.)

Never again will I let her out without a leash in the front yard. NEVER AGAIN! I came that close to something happening to her. I couldn’t and wouldn’t live my life without her no matter what. Many people have children, well she’s mine. I would risk my life to save hers in a heartbeat.

I can still picture her face when she turned around and looked at me standing in the middle of the road after the cars had passed. I think she knew it too that she was that close to getting run over. I don’t even know what she was running after. There wasn’t any birds, cats, or other dogs around for her to make a mad dash and go after it. I have absolutely no clue what provoked her to go. I just thank God she wasn’t harmed. This would of been the worst holiday season ever if something happened…God forbid.

THANK GOD SHE’S OKAY! THANK GOD!!

December 22nd, 2007Drip, drip, drip

Not to long ago, my dad had to replace the faucet in the kitchen downstairs. For some reason it just get dripping water. All you heard was drip, drip, drip. No matter what he tried, it just wouldn’t STOP!! Yes…it was really annoying especially when you try to read…drip, drip, drip. Oh the memories!!! >_<

Thank goodness my dad bought an awesome new one that resembles a Hansgrohe faucet from Home Depot. That honestly did the trick. It now works perfectly and I don’t hear the dripping sound anymore!! Thank goodness because it was really, really bad!

December 22nd, 2007Crazy lunatics in Wal-Mart!

I went shopping today and man…Wal-mart was extremely busy!!! There were people EVERYWHERE!! Even when I passed by the fitness section, there were people looking at exercise equipment and trying to put the boxes in their buggy. They looked funny because the boxes were much bigger than the actually buggy. Silly people. LOL!

The majority of people where in the toys section and the section where they have perfume, makeup, shampoo, etc. Now that was a sight to see. You couldn’t even move anywhere. It was really ridiculous!!

Well, that’s what happens when you go shopping on the days really close to Christmas. I can’t imagine what Christmas Eve would be like. The aisles would be upside down!!

December 22nd, 2007Done Christmas shopping!

I am officially finished Christmas shopping. Yippy!! All the gifts are wrapped and under the tree. I’ll take a photo in the daytime because it’s late now. The only thing I’m waiting for is for two packages to come in the mail. One is something for my father and the other is something for my sister.

It’s taking way too long for these things to deliver. The last day is on Monday. If they don’t come by then I’m gonna freak out because we open gifts that night. *sigh….I really hope they come*

December 22nd, 2007Baby Slings are cool!

As most of you know, my younger sister had a baby boy just last month. One thing she hasn’t gotten yet is a baby sling.

I’ve been telling her to check out baby slings online from websites like SlingLings.com because you can find such great deals. Not only are they low in price, but you can find a unique style that you like. They are many to choose from too!!

If I didn’t already go overboard on spending this Christmas, I would of bought her one too. Oh well…there’s always her birthday in February which is coming up sooner than you know it. I’ll probably get her one then. LOL!
