November 26th, 2007Busy little me

I’ve been busy the whole evening fixing up a theme for my sister’s blog. Thank goodness she was next to me the entire time and let me know if she didn’t like something. Last time I fixed a theme for her, I ended up doing many changes afterwards because she didn’t like it. But the new theme on her blog, is one she’s happy with. Thank goodness. LOL!

Here is a screenshot of what it looks like. Don’t forget to swing by her website.

November 25th, 2007Do You Like Pit Bulls?

A lot of people are scared of pit bulls and don’t like them because of all the attacks you hear about in the news. But really, are they that more vicious than other dogs, animals, and humans? I personally don’t think so. Then again, I’ve never owned a pit bull before. I prefer small dogs.

However, I do think that any animal or child you raise in a negative household can result in their vicious behaviour. Any type of animal or child brought up in a hateful environment with abuse and neglect will lash out to others. I’m sure many of you can agree with that.

That’s why I just wanted to show you the other side of pit bulls. They can be kind and gentle animals just like any other kind of loving pet. It’s the owner/parent that has the most influence on a pet or child from the beginning they are born.

Here is the video.

If you noticed in the video they talk about a link to guess the correct dog that is a pit bull out of 26 other dogs. Here is the link. Try it yourself. There’s only one correct answer. When I tried, I got it correct on the first try. Then again, I absolutely love dogs and own many books about dog breeds.

November 23rd, 2007Something Horrible Happened!!

Something very horrible happened today. I was at the computer working on a few things when I heard my dog having trouble coming down the last few steps. Btw, the stairs are at the other end of the hallway. So I get up and opened a light and then saw her coming down the hallway. Of course me standing there, she was coming down wagging her tail. I saw a huge black spider on the floor and grabbed a few tissues from my desk so I could kill it. My dog just so happened to jump up on the other computer chair where her blanket was. She likes to sleep next to me while I’m at the computer.

Anyways, I turn away from the computer and look near the floor beside my sister’s computer (that’s where I saw the spider). Then I glanced sideways at the floor and was like, “WHAT THE HELL???” All I saw was blood everywhere on the floor. I looked at my dog and she jumped off the chair at the same moment. I picked her up and held her tummy up so I could see her paws so she wouldn’t move too much. I looked at one and it was bleeding. I’m like holy smokes, what the hell happened? So then I start calling my mom while I’m making my way down the hall and up the stairs. I opened the light too and saw the whole blood trail down the hallway.

I get upstairs and my mom comes to me. I’m like, “Ginger is bleeding. Something happened to her paw.” So I take her to the bathroom and hold her over the counter and sink. My mom looks at her paw and says, “Oh my gosh. She has no more nail here.” I was in total shock and was wondering how the heck that could of happened. So we start washing out all the blood from her paw and bandaged it up to stop the bleeding. Of course she was trying to move the whole time so it made the whole process difficult.

After that was over, I carried downstairs and placed her in her couch bed. I then started cleaning all the blood from the floor and down the hallway. My mom started looking by the stairs because I told her I heard my dog having a problem coming down. Of course two feet away from the stairs was her entire nail from her back paw. I guess somehow it got stuck on the stair (don’t ask me how because it’s all tiles), and when she pulled her leg and jumped the last step, the nail pulled out as well.

It was really scary to be quite honesty. Like, my dog is my best friend and my little baby. Seriously. I’d do anything for her. So I panicked when I saw all that blood everywhere. Thankfully it looks like she’s okay. She already took the bandage off herself. I guess I’ll just have to keep washing it so it doesn’t get an infection or anything. Hopefully the nail will grow back in a few weeks.

November 23rd, 2007Popups stink

Ugh…I can’t stand visiting sites that have a million popups and ads. Thank goodness I have a popup blocker. I swear I’d go insane otherwise.

Don’t some sites know that too much is too much. I don’t need to see ads of porn, popups with smiley faces, or even popups with those stupid cursors!! Enough geeze.

I feel sorry for those people who don’t have a popup blocker. Can you imagine what they go through exiting all the windows from spammy sites? Man, that would be hell.

November 22nd, 2007Funniest Email Yet!

I received this email from my sister and I couldn’t stop laughing. It is really hilarious so read the entire thing through!

Have you ever spoken and wished that you could immediately take the words back…or that you could crawl into a hole? Here are the Testimonials of a few people who did….

FIRST TESTIMONY:
I walked into a hair salon with my husband and three kids in tow and asked loudly, “How much do you charge for a shampoo and a blow job?” I turned around and walked back out and never went back. My husband didn’t say a word… he knew better.

SECOND TESTIMONY:
I was at the golf store comparing different kinds of golf balls. I was unhappy with the women’s type I had been using. After browsing for several minutes, I was approached by one of the good-looking gentlemen who works at the store. He asked if he could help me. Without thinking, I looked at him and said, “I think I like playing with mens balls”.

THIRD TESTIMONY:
My sister and I were at the mall and passed by a store that sold a variety of candy and nuts. As we were looking at the display case, the boy behind the counter asked if we needed any help. I replied, “No, I’m just looking at your nuts.” My sister started to laugh hysterically. The boy grinned, and I turned beet-red and walked away. To this day, my sister has never let me forget.

FOURTH TESTIMONY:
While in line at the bank one afternoon, my toddler decided to release some pent-up energy and ran amok. I was finally able to grab hold of her after receiving looks of disgust and annoyance from other patrons. I told her that if she did not start behaving “right now” she would be punished. To my horror, she looked me in the eye and said in a voice just as threatening, “If you don’t let me go right now, I will tell Grandma that I saw you kissing Daddy’s pee-pee last night!” The silence was deafening after this enlightening exchange. Even the tellers stopped what they were doing. I mustered up the last of my dignity and walked out of the bank with my daughter in tow. The last thing I heard when the door closed behind me, were screams of laughter.

FIFTH TESTIMONY:
Have you ever asked your child a question too many times? My three-year-old son had a lot of problems with potty training and I was on him constantly. One day we stopped at Taco Bell for a quick lunch, in between errands It was very busy, with a full dining room. While enjoying my taco, I smelled something funny, so of course I checked my seven-month-old daughter, she was clean. Then realized that Danny had not asked to go potty in a while. I asked him if he needed to go, and he said “No”. I kept thinking “Oh Lord, that child has had an accident, and I don’t have any clothes with me.” Then I said, “Danny, are you SURE you didn’t have an accident?” “No,” he replied. I just KNEW that he must have had an accident, because the smell was getting worse. Soooooo, I asked one more time, “Danny did you have an accident ? This time he jumped up, yanked down his pants, bent over, spread his cheeks and yelled “SEE MOM, IT’S JUST FARTS!!” While 30 people nearly choked to death on their tacos laughing, he calmly pulled up his pants and sat down. An old couple made me feel better, thanking me for the best laugh they’d ever had!

SIXTH TESTIMONY:
This had most of the state of Michigan laughing for 2 days and a very embarrassed female news anchor who will, in the future, likely think before she speaks. What happens when you predict snow but don’t get any! We had a female news anchor that, the day after it was supposed to have snowed and didn’t, turned to the weatherman and asked: “So Bob, where’s that 8 inches you promised me last night?” Not only did HE have to leave the set, but half the crew did too they were laughing so hard!
