September 30th, 2007Boy hit by train
Wow…I just read about this not too long ago. A teenager in my city was killed by a train. He was walking on the railway tracks and he had a MP3 player on. Duh!! Who listens to music while walking on tracks??
Needless to say that the conductor was blowing the whistle and trying to get the boy’s attention, but that failed and the train hit him and he died. Maybe that was his way of suicide? I don’t know, but it sure is dumb to walk on tracks listening to music.
I wonder who he was…

Whenever I read stories like this, after feeling very sad for the person’s parents, my next thought is feeling bad for the train conductor. Can you imagine the guilt he must feel, even though he tried to warn the boy? It takes trains MILES to slow down and then stop, and there wouldn’t have been anything the conductor could do. Heartbreaking.

I agree with Elizabeth - how horrible for his family and the train driver
And if he did do it on purpose, then what an idiot!

That boy you are talking so rudely about was not walking on the tracks on purpose! He was my cousins fiance and he was running. He was in the army and not from that town. He grew up in ohio and ran the tracks out here where we do not have many trains. It was an accident. Next time you feel the need to talk bad about someone and their death get the facts right! He did not kill himself in fact he had a wonderful plan for his life. Tradgedy can strike at anytime, I hope that noone has to deal with the pain that everyone involved in this case has, but talking the way you all did on here makes more pain, and only causes more hurt for those who stumble apon this site. I only hope that you all grow up and realize that your words can hurt people, and that life has tradgedy its not all rainbows and butterflies! He was someones son, brother, fiance, and friend show some respect for others!

Kristin,
I never said anything rude about him. I never called him an idiot or stupid. I’m just saying it was a stupid act he did. People need to start realizing that it’s not smart to walk on train tracks or run by them ESPECIALLY if you are listening to an MP3 player.
Also, I never said it was 100% fact that he killed himself. I said was it possible suicide with a QUESTION MARK! How the hell should I know anyways, I can’t read his mind and nor can anyone else. You can only make presumptions that it wasn’t suicide and that he had a happy life. You don’t know for sure. Maybe stress got to him and he decided his own fate. Not even his family or finance would know his cognitive thoughts. You can only believe what you want to believe.
