I know I’ve said that I was going on a huge diet awhile ago because I was not happy with what I saw on the scale. I also know I’ve said that I was thinking about joining a gym (I’m still considering that). Something I have been thinking about this entire week is “Juice Fasting”. If you’re not familiar with it, it’s a fasting you do to detoxify your body from all the toxins and buildup in your colon. I’ve been reading about it and searching what exactly you would have to do to be successful with this. I also read that some people even lost 30+ pounds for doing this fasting for a month, which is what I’m planning to do.

This is how the juice fasting works. You basically don’t eat any solid foods during this period. What you do is drink fruits and vegetables only. So you have to have a juicer so you can make the fresh fruits and vegetable drinks. You also have to do something called enema. This is something you do to clean out your colon and bowel system. How? Well…you have to buy a enema bag (also called a douche bag). You then stick the ending of the tube into your anus and allow water to go into your body the way shit comes out. Then you have to massage your digestive area on your stomach to make the water flow and clean it out. Guess what? About 20 minutes later, you have to empty out (take a crap). I know this sounds disgusting but you are suppose to do it. LOL!

Anyways, as the days go by (obviously some are harder than others because of hunger pains), your body is changing. Some people lose a pound a day, which is great because if you do it for a month, that’s 30 pounds lighter if you have that much crap in your system that needs to be cleaned out. If you search on Google, you will find lots of more information regarding this fasting.

I’m going to give it a try as soon as I am able to get to the store and buy the juicer and enema bag. Then I have to hit the grocery store to pick up the fruits and vegetables. I’m hoping to start it on June 1st so I can fast that entire month. Some people do it for 40 days, but we’ll see if I can do the thirty. I imagine it’s going to be difficult because I’m a binge eater. Now that definitely needs to stop and I HAVE to get exercise into my routine.

I’ll let you all know if I start it in June and how it goes.
