Week of May 02: Photo Day
Are you a photographer?
Yes I am. I am still an amateur but I’m working on completely my photography certificates at my local college.
If so, tell us about your photo equipment.
My main SLR digital camera is my Olympus E-500 which I purchased last year. I also use smaller versions of Olympus digital cameras. I also have a tabletop tripod and a floor tripod.
Describe (or post) one of your favorite photos, either one you’ve taken or one you’ve seen.
One of my favourite photos is one I took last summer down at the lake. The sun was setting and it was making a beautiful reflection on the water. So I snapped the photo and it turned out beautifully. Click on the photo below to view it up close.
Do you like having your picture taken?
I’m not a big fan of having my picture taken as I am usually the one who is taking the picture.

How do you like it? I bought an Olympus sp-350 at Christmas last year. Most of the pictures come out great, although it has trouble with low light pictures (which it claimed it wouldn’t). Mostly I use it for real estate and for that its fine. The only real gripe I have with it is the time to record a picture. It seems to take forever. That and sometimes the auto focus wigs out a little.

I absolutely love the Olympus E-500. It was the best $1200(at the time), I spent!! It works great. Has lots of modes and other great functions. Plus, it comes with an extra lens. I couldn’t of asked for any better.
If you’re thinking about upgrading, they aren’t that expensive anymore. It’s only like $800 now. You can check it out on the official website.
