So today I had to head, bright and early, back to my classes at my local college campus. I was really enjoying my break though!! Dammit! I really could use another week. LOL!
I ended up just going to my 8:30am class and skipping the other two I had for the day, and headed home. I had to take the bus (no duh cause I haven’t gotten my G2 yet–will do in the spring…been meaning to get it since I was 16; oh well) home; three in total in order to get to my house. What makes me laugh is when people stand near the side of the road checking to see if a bus is coming, and then the cars come driving by, and all this slush (because we got a snowfall today again) splashes up and onto them. It was hilarious because five people got soaked all at once. See…I was the smart one..I stood in the bus shelter, away from the road. LMAO!!!
Let me tell you just got bad my blogging as gotten…..I’ve been dreaming about blogging and before I go to bed, I’m thinking about what I can blog about the following day. WTF? LOL! I questioned myself this morning as I thought about it. I have been blogging alot more recently and it’s not just “today I did blah blah blah“, like I once used to. I’ve been finding meaningful things to blog about which will hopefully be able to help you out. So watch out for more new posts!

After spending two years building my own website, I was very disappointed that my Alexa ranking was still higher than one million. Alexa ranks each website based on the number of visitors it receives. The top ranked website, Yahoo! has an Alexa rating of 1 or 2. Less popular sites could be ranked up to 5,000,000.
In order to improve my Alexa rating, I spent about three weeks combing the web to find tips, secrets, and proven strategies for increasing my Alexa ranking. Unfortunately, many of the sites offering advice didn’t even have a high ranking themselves. Finally I discovered a number of sites ranked within the top 100,000 that were all applying the same “Alexa techniques†to improve their ranking. I’ve begun implementing a number of these techniques and have improved my Alexa ranking by 250,000 spots in just one week.
Here’s what you need to know. The basis for many of these techniques is the fact that your Alexa ranking is based reach and page views. However it only counts those who visit your site and have already downloaded the Alexa toolbar. Anyone can download the toolbar for free which is automatically added to your browser and tracks the sites you’re visiting. It’s called SearchStatus.
After you have installed it, you’ll see it at the bottom of your browser on the right side. It displays a small PageRank and Alexa ranking status for any website you visit. Just make sure you restart your Firefox browser after you installed it so it can work.
If you have Firefox 1.5 and get this yellow popup at the top that says you have to enable downloads or something along those lines, then do the following steps:
That should do the trick and you’ll be able to download it properly. I find this plugin really useful, especially when you want to see your ranking for marketing purposes.
THE FARTING CONTEST

In a farting contest the one who craps his pants is the winner. There are no continuances, take backs or do over’s…it’s finished. And like with any other contest the winner stands alone. Only, if you win a farting contest this way (the winner by crapping) not only will you stand alone, you will stand alone at a great distance from everyone else….that is unless you’re in a car.
The boys were having one such olfactory offensive contest one day when we were on our way back from the beach. Nothing like swallowing half a lake of water to get the ole’ gastro-intestinal functions pumping. Anyway, they were in the backseat letting go with Rippers, Squeakers, Lone Rangers and the ever-popular Boomers. Like any great contest, faces were turning red and the grunts could be heard outside the car…with the windows rolled up. I was grateful though; that we were on a main road so the windows could be kept rolled down to eliminate the aftermath of the festivities in the backseat.
