February 27th, 2007The Law of Attraction
So, as most of you know, I’ve been reading the book “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne. I’m finding it really interesting so far. The “secret” that they are revealing is the law of attraction. What does that mean? As the book puts it:
“Everything that’s coming into your life you are attracting into your life. And it’s attracted to you by virtue of the images you’re holding in your mind. It’s what you’re thinking. Whatever is going on in your mind you are attracting to you.”
In plain english — your thoughts become a reality.
I know it sounds kind of weird, and you’re probably thinking “So if I think that I’m going to win the lotto, I will?” I find it a little hard to believe, but I can see it working if you wanted a job promotion for example. Then you have the power to make that happen by giving it your all and making a good impression with the boss. Or even for establishing your own business. If you want something really, really bad, then you make it happen. You start going out looking for space to rent, promoting, and what not. You put it into action and that’s what makes it become a reality.
What has this book taught me thus far?
Personally, the only thing I believe it has taught me is to be and think more positively because if you’re so negative and think “I’m going to get into a car crash, I’m going to get into a car crash, I’m going to get into a car crash,” …. it’s obviously going to happen. DUH!!
Have you ever thought about getting a degree in the law field? Getting a degree from a school of law isn’t as difficult as you’d imagine, especially with all of the great online degree programs that you can complete in your free time.

Two things…
1. If I had to sum the entire thing up, it’s that the Law of Attraction
is all about alignment. You’ve got to do the “work” if you want to
bring something info your life.
This is where I think people mess up, which gives the entire thing the
“MLM/Amway” kind of vibe. You can’t just sit around eating junk food
and watching reruns and expect to live on the beach…regardless of what
the infomercials say.
People like Joe Vitale are out working. Bob Proctor is out working.
James Ray is out working.
2. I found a FREE book (yes, FREE) that helped me figure out all of
this. http://www.receivethebook.com/ has it and it’s well worth the read.
And like I said, it’s FREE. So you can’t argue that the guy is trying
to take advantage of people looking for a “magic pill” or whatever else
I’ve been hearing over the last 2-3 weeks since this thing hit Oprah.
