Well, I’m not sure how many of you have gone through college or university thinking about strangling the people responsible for tuition fees or textbooks prices. Let me say, it’s ridulous!!! Okay here is my rundown of college tuition/course fees.
I attended college for:
- Early Childhood Education - 2 years - approx. $4800
- Photography classes - summer (3 courses) - approx. $600
- Office Administration (Executive) - 1st semester - approx. $1300
TOTAL: $6700
Now that is not including textbooks, supplies, transportation, and other necessary fees. Man, they suck every blood and sweat that dripped from you working so damn hard for money when your a student which is usually minimum wage. ($6.45 when I started school but now $7.75). So if I’m making around $7.00/hour, I’d have to work at least 957 hours!!! That’s just the estimation of how much time I spent trying to get enough money for school.
Thank goodness for my dad and mom. They paid my tuition for my office administration program this semester and hopefully next, since I’m pratically broke from all these expenses. And get this…I just spent another $850 on fuckin TEXTBOOKS for 1 SEMESTER!!!!!!!
You’d think schools give students a break from all the fees. Nope that’s not the case at all. I hate college fees! It’s outragous but I have to pay if I want that diploma so I can better myself for the future. It’s a pain in the ass that’s what it is. What bites even more is that I don’t qualify for any bursaries/scholarships that are available for my program. And I sure as hell don’t want to take out any student loans or any type of loan. I can’t stand the stress of worrying to payback a loan. So that’s out of the option.
Hopefully all this schooling will pay off in the future. I just hope to God that I am making the right decisions in my life and everything will work out.
Hey everyone. I finally released a wordpress theme. Click the image below to go to the download page. This theme is widget ready thanks to Otto for his help! Yay! Please let me know what you think. Thanks!
[EDIT:] Well, I actually changed my layout to reflect the new one that I have released. I also made some minor changes to the theme.

Best quote out of the whole fuckin clip:
Why don’t you go outside and play “Hide and go FUCK yourself”.
Well, summer has pretty much come and gone. Only a few weeks left until school begins once again with another school year. This september, I registered into a program called Office Administration. It should be fun…I think. LOL! Well, we’ll see I guess.
There are a few things I still want to visit or go this summer before it’s completely over.
- Niagara Falls
- Maybe Punta Cana again
- Royal Botannical Gardens
- Toronto Zoo
Um…I think that’s it. So we’ll see how those go. I don’t want to go by myself of course. Hopefully my whole family would like to join, but I find that it’s harder to get everyone together for some strange reason even though we all live under the same roof. It bites to be exact because someone will be free and then the others are not. But hopefully we’ll do those things as family outings.
I’m not sure if I mentioned that I have the wallpaper section up. Some were created from photographs I took, while this new one below is what I created with brushes, psds, and other nick-nacks in Photoshop CS2. Here is the newest wallpaper addition:
You can download it under content/wallpaper. Enjoy!
Well, today was my mother’s birthday. We celebrated of course!
Last night, my sisters, cousin, and myself decorated the basement kitchen and just below the stairs with birthday decorations. I swear you’d think we were mad if you saw the end result. We also put down streamers at the bottom of the stairs so it creates a kind of curtain that you walk through. I came up with an idea to make footprints and start right beside my mother’s bed leading all the way to the basement kitchen for a surprise. It turned out great! My mom loved the decorations and the effect we put in to make this day special for her.
Also, I baked for the very first time. I know, I know. Patheic! But I never had the opportunity to bake since there was always someone else willing to bake instead. Well, I baked this morning when my mom, older sister, and cousin left our house this morning. It turned out quite good but could of been cooked longer. I also have a picture of the end result of what I baked. Here it is below:
It’s really easy to make. All you have to do is buy cake mix (I used chocolate for the mini-cakes and vanilla for the larger sliced cake). Then you just follow the directions from the box and you can put the cake mix in a circular pan to create an actual cake, or put the cake mix in something like a cupcake pan that has many smaller circles. After it was done cooking, you put icing on top and then sprinkle it with smarties, sprinkles, etc. It’s great for children and there’s endless possibilities of what you can make. So give it a try.
Site’s back up after a few days of down time. If you find any errors let me know. Thanks.
